These terms govern your use of WeWine: the iPhone app, the web app at app.wewine.app and this website. They form an agreement between you and the operator named in the legal notice. If the English and Spanish versions differ, the Spanish version prevails.
1. Who can use WeWine
You must be 18 or over. You may have one personal account, the information you give must be accurate, and you are responsible for keeping your sign-in secure.
2. What WeWine offers
A visual wine quiz and taste profile; friends, Wine Match and chat; AI sommeliers; a scanner for bottles, shelves and wine lists; food and wine pairing; and wine places, starting in Valencia. Some features — local discovery, Wine Dating, some places features — open only when their conditions are met, and may be paused or changed. We will tell you about significant changes.
3. AI features
The sommeliers are AI characters, never real people. The Wine Legends are interpretations of historic authors built from their public-domain books. AI answers, label recognition and pairings can be wrong. They are not professional, medical, nutritional or allergy advice. “Personal Match” estimates how well a wine suits your taste; it is not a measure of quality.
4. Your content
You keep the rights to what you post. You give us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, show and process it only as needed to run WeWine, for as long as it stays on the service. You are responsible for your content and must follow the community guidelines.
5. Moderation and enforcement
We combine automated screening with human review. We may remove content, limit features, or suspend or close accounts that break these terms or the law. A person reviews every suspension or ban. We explain our decisions with a statement of reasons, and you can appeal within six months. Anyone, including people without an account, can report illegal content — see DSA contact and notices.
6. Plans and payments
- Free: discovery, friends, Wine Match and chat, with monthly limits on AI features.
- Wine Pass: 24 hours of extra AI features from the moment of purchase. It does not renew.
- Premium: monthly or annual; it renews automatically until you cancel.
Prices are shown in euros, VAT included, before you pay, and may change; a change never affects a period you have already paid for. Purchases on iPhone are billed by Apple under its terms; cancel in your App Store settings. Purchases on the web are billed through Stripe; cancel in your account at any time.
Right of withdrawal (web purchases). As a consumer in the EU you may withdraw within 14 days of purchase. If you ask us to start the service immediately and acknowledge it at checkout, you pay only for the part already provided if you withdraw. You can withdraw from your account using the withdrawal function, or by writing to support@wewine.app.
7. Alcohol and responsibility
WeWine does not sell alcohol. We share information about wine for adults; enjoy it responsibly, never drink and drive, and seek help if you are worried about your drinking. Nothing on WeWine encourages excessive drinking.
8. Meeting people
We do not run background checks on users. Meet in public places and follow our dating safety advice. Report anyone who makes you feel unsafe.
9. Third-party content
Some information comes from third parties — for example live place details from Google Maps, or wine data from public datasets (see data sources and credits). We are not responsible for third-party sites we link to.
10. Liability
We provide WeWine with reasonable care and skill. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have as a consumer under Spanish and EU law. Otherwise, to the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect losses or for decisions you make based on recommendations.
11. Ending your account
You can delete your account at any time from the app. We may suspend or close accounts for serious or repeated breaches, as set out in section 5.
12. Changes to these terms
We will notify you in the app at least 15 days before material changes take effect. If you do not agree, you can close your account before then.
13. Law and disputes
These terms are governed by Spanish law. If you are a consumer, you may bring proceedings in the courts of your place of residence, and you keep the protection of the mandatory laws of your country.
14. Contact
Review notes for counsel: operator identity and trader/seller alignment with the App Store listing; withdrawal wording under TRLGDCU arts. 103 and 108 and the withdrawal button; Wine Pass treatment as a non-renewing purchase; DSA art. 14 description of moderation; consumer-protection limits on the liability clause; availability beyond the EU/EEA: the iOS app is sold where Ruta’s app is (every territory but China mainland, decided 19 Oct 2026), so clear the United Kingdom (Online Safety Act duties for a user-to-user service; alcohol-advertising rules) and the United States (the 18+ gate against a drinking age of 21; state app-store age-assurance laws such as Utah’s and Texas’s; alcohol-advertising codes) before release, or they are taken off sale first.
